The amount of learning and growing that occurs during this period is remarkable; therefore, young children need to feel safe, nurtured, and loved. It is through positive day-to-day interactions with responsive, sensitive caregivers that allow children to build the needed foundation to confidently explore their environment, reach new milestones, and learn."
